The 365 devotions of
Streams in the Desert and the NIV
Bible are now consolidated into one.
There is no need to shuffle between two books. James Reimann has edited these devotions,
written by LB Cowman, making them easier to comprehend. These devotional readings are arranged in an
easy to find format, each having a “go to” line at the bottom of the page to
find the next day’s reading. Also, a
very helpful feature is the Subject Index, located at the back of the Bible, to
help you find certain topics of interest. There’s a place to write personal
notes and reflections in the back – My Journey – that certainly enhances this
Bible for me.
The devotions are written in a clear and easy way, which
will reveal God’s word, and help you to understand the beautiful truths of the
Bible. And it is written in the very
readable NIV translation, which happens to be my favorite version.
The one thing I found to be missing is an introduction to
each of the 66 books. It would be
helpful to have the Author, Time Frame, Key Passages, etc. That being said – this Bible would make a
beautiful gift in the very attractive hardcopy edition. I love the cover – absolutely beautiful!

quenching.” I’m enjoying these devotions
more and more each day, and I’m happy to add this beautiful Bible to my collection. My rating is 4.5 stars.
